Dr. Vimal Sarup is a highly skilled and board-certified retina specialist dedicated to diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous. With extensive experience in both medical and surgical retina care, Dr. Sarup specializes in the management of conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and vitreoretinal disorders.
After earning a medical degree from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in India, Dr. Sarup completed his ophthalmology residency at the Ross Eye Institute, New York. He then went on to pursue two advanced fellowships. His first fellowship is in Uveitis and Ocular Immunology from Mass Eye and Ear and the second is in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery from the Valley Retina Institute. Dr. Sarup has served as faculty at the University of Central Florida, University of Texas Medical Branch, Howard University College of Medicine, and Orlando VA medical Center. He has also served as the Associate Program Director and Program Director of the Retina Fellowship at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
